Tarson Limited ("Tarson", "we", "us") is a specialist recruitment and headhunting firm. This policy explains what personal information we hold, why, and what rights you have. We are the data controller for the information described here.

Information we collect
- Candidates: the details you send us or that are publicly available on professional networks, such as your name, contact details, CV, employment history, qualifications, the kind of role and location you're interested in, salary expectations, and notes of our conversations with you.
- Clients and contacts: names, job titles, business contact details and notes of our discussions about hiring.
How we use it
- To understand your experience and what you're looking for, and to tell you about suitable opportunities.
- To introduce you to prospective employers, only with your agreement. We will never send your CV to an employer without asking you first.
- To arrange interviews, pass on feedback and help with offers.
- To keep in touch with clients about their hiring needs.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Our lawful basis
We rely on our legitimate interests in running a recruitment business and helping candidates find roles, on your consent when we share your details with an employer, and on legal obligation where the law requires us to keep records. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Who we share it with
We share candidate details only with employers you've agreed we can introduce you to. We use a small number of trusted service providers to run our business (for example email and IT providers), who process data on our behalf under contract. We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it for marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep candidate information for as long as it remains useful in helping you with your career, and review it regularly. If we haven't been in touch for a long period, or you ask us to, we delete it. We keep records relating to placements and invoices for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent. Email info@tarson.co.uk and we'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking, and it doesn't collect any information unless you choose to email or call us. Our web host keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security purposes.
